PM: Looking Forward to Mike Pompeo's Visit to Georgia

Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has responded to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's upcoming visit to Georgia, scheduled for November 17-18, saying that he is looking forward to it.

“Looking forward to the upcoming visit of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to Georgia. This visit is a reiteration of the all-time high status of the US-Georgia strategic partnership. In the framework of the visit, we will discuss the geopolitical situation in the region as well as our co-op in defense & security,” the Prime Minister wrote on Twitter.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will pay a two-day visit to Georgia on November 17-18, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has announced. 

"Georgia welcomes US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s forthcoming visit to Georgia scheduled for 17 and 18 November. Within the framework of the visit, the Secretary of State will hold meetings with Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, President Salome Zourabichvili and Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani. Mike Pompeo will also meet with Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II," reads the statement.
