OSCE Chairs Adopt Statement in Support of Georgia
Former, current and future chairs of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Slovakia, Albania, Sweden, Poland and Macedonia, reiterated their support for Georgia’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity at the 27th OSCE ministerial in Tirana.
They also expressed their unwavering support for the Geneva International Discussions.
“We reiterate our support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders.
"We underline our concern over the continuing the deterioration of human rights situation in the Georgian regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
"We express our unwavering support for the Geneva International Discussions in facilitating a peaceful resolution of this conflict. The Geneva International Discussions remains a key international platform in this regard, and the OSCE is ready to continue its leadership of this format, together with the EU and the UN,” reads the statement.
The relevant information was published by the Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Austria, Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
“Five former, current and future CiOs of OSCE expressed solid support for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia,” Tsikhelashvili wrote.
