Angela Merkel Congratulates Giorgi Gakharia on Appointment as PM

“The close bilateral relations between our countries provide a good basis for future cooperation between our governments and the deepening of relations between our societies”, German Chancellor Angela Merkel says in an official letter, in which she congratulates Giorgi Gakharia on his appointment as Prime Minister.

Merkel emphasizes that Germany will continue Georgia's reliable partnership for the development of the rule of law and democratic structures.

"Mr. Prime Minister, congratulations on your re-election. The close bilateral relations between our countries provide a good basis for future cooperation between our governments and the deepening of relations between our societies. Germany will continue Georgia's reliable partnership for the development of the rule of law and democracy. I wish you success and strength in fulfilling your responsible tasks during the period of great challenges," the official letter reads.
