PMs of Lietuva, Bulgaria Congratulate Giorgi Gakharia on Re-appointment to the Post
H.E. Ingrida Simonyte, Prime Minister of Lietuva, congratulated Giorgi Gakharia on his re-appointment as Prime Minister of Georgia.
The congratulatory letter ephasizes that Lietuva is committed to supporting Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as its European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
"On behalf of the Government of Lithuania, let me extend to you my sincere congratulations on your reappointment as Prime Minister of Georgia. I wish you every success in your endeavors with a view to achieving a better future for the people of your country.
"I am ready to continue the close cooperation in a whole range of areas which have been cherished between our countries for many years. Lithuania is committed to supporting Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as its European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
"The entire world, including our countries, is experiencing the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. The launch of the vaccination is a turning point in the battle with the pandemic. Lithuania, together with other European Union Member States, has called on the European Commission to set a support mechanism to allow the Eastern Partners to secure early access to the COVID-19 vaccine. I am convinced that our countries will be able to overcome the challenges in the near future.
"Once again, Mr. Prime Minister, I sincerely congratulate you on your reappointment, and I wish you every success, and good luck and prosperity to the people of Georgia. Please accept the assurances of my highest consideration," reads the congratulatory letter.
Boyko Borissov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, also congratulated Gakharia on his reappointment as PM.
Borissov notes in his congratulatory letter that Bulgaria continues to be an active supporter of the European and Euro-Atlantic perspectives of Georgia.
"Your Excellency, please accept my sincerest congratulations and wishes on the occasion of your re-election as Prime Minister of Georgia. I avail myself of that pleasant opportunity to underline the positive character of the relationship between our two countries, based on friendship, historical, cultural and spiritual closeness. We see Georgia as our priority partner in the Black Sea region and within the initiative of the European Union "Eastern Partnership", a testimony to which is also the active bilateral political dialogue. The mutually beneficial cooperation in the economic field is a prerequisite for the further development of the potential of our bilateral relations.
