Georgian Prime Minister Meets Former British Counterpart in Davos

The Prime Minister of Georgia, who is paying his first visit to the Davos World Economic Forum, met with the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Tony Blair.

At the meeting it was decided that Tony Blair would visit Georgia in the near future.

The parties were discussing ongoing democratic reforms in Georgia and the implementation of the visa-liberalization process.

Blair was interested in the reform of the educational system and the processes related to the Open Governance Partnership (OGP), which aims to increase transparency, accountability and effectiveness of governments across the world.

The UK’s former PM expressed his readiness to council the Georgian government on that issue as well.
