Award-winning French Writer Beigbeder to Visit Tbilisi
TBILISI - Book lovers across Georgia will have the opportunity to meet award winning French writer and literary critic Frederic Beigbeder when he visits Georgia’s capital Tbilisi, on March 11th.
At the beginning of February Georgian-born actress and television host, Olga Babluani, announced the author’s visit on her Facebook page.
“This info will spark huge interest among Georgian readers and they look forward to meeting Frederic. I am pleased to announce that we will have a chance arrange an interesting meeting with him. The exact date of his visit remains unknown, but I will provide this information to everyone very soon,” Babluani, a Paris resident, said in her Facebook post.
Beigbeder won France’s Prix Interallié literary award in 2003 for his novel ‘Windows on the World’ and the Prix Renaudot in 2009 for ‘A French Novel’.
Three of Beigbeder's novels, ‘99 Francs’, ‘L'amour Dure Trois Ans’ and ‘Windows on the World’, are currently being adapted for the screen.
Beigbeder is also noted as one of the founders of the Prix de Flore and Sade Awards.
The meeting will take place at Biblus Gallery at 3:30pm on March 11th.
