Historic Video Footage of Tbilisi Projected onto Riverside Cliff

TBILISI – Historic video footage of Georgia’s capital is being projected onto the rocks of the old city’s Legvtakhevi Gorge in the old city’s Abanotubani district until July 25, the Tbilisi Center of Cultural Events said.

Visitors will be able to see historic photos of Old Tbilisi, as well as newly produced video compilations of Georgia, shot by a drone, as well as a history of the city and video animation.

The Legvtakhevi Gorge is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Georgian capital. As the Tbilisi Center of Cultural Events noted, this site is an ideal fit for the project as it uses both technology and the natural surroundings to tell the history of Tbilisi.

According to the organizers, the project hopes popularize and inform foreign visitors about the 1,500-year history of Tbilisi.
