Tbilisi Art Gallery to Exhibit Designer Jewelry
TBILISI - German Kabirsky, a renowned self-taught jewelry artist, will display his works at the Chardin Art Gallery in the Tbilisi Marriott from September 22-29.
Kabirsky, a native of Russia’s restive North Caucasus republic of Dagestan and whose first name is the Russian version of the German name Herman, has been recognized as one of the more innovative figures working in the jewelry arts.
His style is know to feature unusual combinations of gold, brass, metal, fur, diamonds and wood.
Kabirsky, who frequesntly references his strong cultural and spitiual affinity for Georgia, said he will personally offer specially numbered cards to the visitors of the exhibition. They will then be entered into a lottery, with the winner receiving a piece of his jewelry.
The free exhibition opens at 7pm on September 22.
