Saakashvili Blames Low Wages for Corruption in Ukraine
Reports say the Georgian reformers’ salaries in the top positions in Ukraine are miserable. No exception, Mikheil Saakashvili, the Georgian ex-President and current governor of the largest region of Ukraine, Odessa, is said to be earning around 270 USD per month.

“I will not be able to remain in the governor’s post with such a salary,” Saakashvili said.
