Ex-Deputy FM Appointed as New Ambassador to Denmark

TBILISI- President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili has appointed ex-Deputy Foreign Minister Gigi Gigiadze as the country’s new Ambassador to Denmark. 

Gigiadze, 38, graduated from Tbilisi State University of International Relations with a BA and Master’s degree. He  has worked in the diplomatic field since 2000. 

He was appointed as Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in November, 2014. 

From 2012-2014 he served as an Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Federal Republic of Germany.

In 2010-2012 he was Director of the European Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
