Georgia to Provide $100,00 in Aid to Syria

TBILISI - Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Mikheil Janelidze, has announced that Georgia will provide USD 100,000 in aid to Syria. The aid money will go through a special United Nations fund.  

The news was announed after the last parlimentary session of the year. Mr. Janelidze added that Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and the entire government is deeply concerned about the humanitarian crisis still ongoing in Syria now.

“The PM has expressed readiness to help the Syrian children who are in trouble. We have had intensive consultations with the UN and talked about all the ways of humanitarian assistance,” he said.
