National Gallery to Host Alexander Bazhbeuk-Melikov Exhibit

The Dimitri Shevardnadze National Gallery will open an exhibit of Alexander Bazhbeuk–Melikov’s work on January 10.

Bazhbeuk- Melikov is regarded as one of the most illustrious representatives of 20th century Georgian art. The exhibition will showcase the artist’s works held in Georgian museums and private collections.  

The event, marking 125 years since the painter’s birth, is organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Georgia, the Ministry of Culture of Republic of Armenia, the Georgian National Museum, and the Eparchy of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia.

The exhibition will be open until February 25, 2017.
