PM Appoints Education Minister as Third Vice-Premier

TBILISI – During session this morning, Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili appointed Education and Science Minister Alexander Jejelava third Vice-Premier.

The first Vice-Premier of Georgia is Minister of Financy Dimitry Kumsishvili, and the second Vice-Premier is Minister of Energy Kakha Kaladze.

PM Kvirikashvili noted that Jejelava has launched very important reforms in the education field. He said, “Education is the number one priority for us, and it is very important that each citizen is informed. Alexander Jejelava will function as public relations and youth policy coordinator."

Kvirikashvili wished the new Vice-Premier success and expressed the hope to hear many new initiatives from him.
