Art Gene: Presenting a True Feast of Georgian Culture
From July 19, the Tbilisi Ethnographic Museum, down the hill from Turtle Lake (Kustba), will be awaiting all those who wish to get better acquainted with Georgian culture. This is one of the city's favorite summer chill out events in terms of climate, as well as disposition and music. I daresay there is hardly any other event that can be considered as attractive as Art-Gene is for foreigners– a folk festival featuring all genres of Georgian culture. It is being held this year for the 12th time, and not in vain as it has managed to make folk art popular even among youngsters.
Annually, the festival travels all around Georgia and the final part is held in Tbilisi, thus uniting the whole country. The main focus is on traditions – food, beverages, folk medicine, singing, dancing, crafts, painting, expos, and concerts.
Don't miss out on the chance to attend the Art-Gene festival 2015 for a true culturl feast!
