Training Program for Adjara Guides to Be Completed

The Tourism Product Development Agency's tour guide training in Adjara is in its last stage. Yesterday the guides visited Skhalta-Khikhani and Khulo-Goderdzi-Green Lake routes.

Several days ago, the mountainous Adjara tourist guides passed through Chirukhi adventure tour in Shuakhevi. They also visited the lakes Guli and Chirukhi, Oladauri Museum and castles of the Darchidzes and Okropilauri. The guides were also acquainted with the local guest-houses and their services. Practical and theoretical trainings of Keda and Machakhela guides have already been finished. Now they are waiting for the evaluation of their theoretical and practical knowledge received during the training at the Tourism Products Development Agency.

By the end of June the guides will have recieved training in tourist destinations within the protected areas of Adjara. 

At the end of the training, participants will be awarded with certificates, and the agency will promote highly rated guides.

The training program lasts for two weeks, with a theoretical and practical program of lectures organized both at the Adjara Tourism Department and on location. The training is being delivered by historians, ethnographers and experienced guides.
