Anita Rachvelishvili Voted Best Female Singer at Bachtrack Opera Awards

Anita Rachvelishvili, the Georgian meezzo-soprano has been voted best female singer at Bachtrack Opera Awards for her performance as Dalila in Camille Saint- Saens Opera Samson and Dalila at Opera National De Paris.

“Able to play woman who is in turn manipulative, loving and determined, she succeeds brilliantly and her duet with Samson is a thing of utter beauty” says Anne -Laure Faubert in her review from October 7, 2016 published on the Bachtrack website.

Anna Netrebko, Ermonela Jaho, Joyce DiDonato, Karita Marjatta Mattila and Gaelle Arquezz were also competing in the category, Rachvelishvili winning with the 47% of votes received on the site.

Bachtrack Opera Awards were founded in 2015, to celebrate best  plays, performances, performers, directors, critics and photographers in Opera.
