Georgian PM Expresses Condolences to Turkish People over Suruc Attack
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili ohas conveyed his sympathies to the Government of Turkey and the Turkish people following a deadly terrorist attack in the town of Suruc in Sanluirfa, Turkey.
The Georgian PM highlighted that Georgia condemns all forms of terrorism.
“We express our deepest sorrow over the death of dozens of victims of this terrorist attack. On behalf of the Georgian people, I offer my sincere condolences to the families of the victims. May you find strength and courage during this time of grief," Garibashvili said.
Yesterday at least 30 people were killed and hundreds were injured by a bomb attack in the Turkish town of Suruc, near the border with Syria.
The BBC has reported that the attack happened when hundreds of young activists were gathered in the city center to discuss the reconstruction of the neighboring Syrian town of Kobane, and that the bombing was carried out by a female suicide attacker from the Islamic State group.
The young people had been planning to travel to Kobane to help with rebuilding of the town.
