Georgia Condemns Violent Actions in Eastern Ukraine
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIA) of Georgia strongly condemns aggressive and violent actions in the eastern Ukraine, which left 11 people dead and 15 injured.
The MFA particularly refers to the period between 18-20 July when the Ukrainian armed forces were assaulted, adding the fact emphasizes an unprecedented aggravation of the situation.
The ministry expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased and wished speedy recovery to the wounded.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia condemns once again the act of aggression committed by the Russian Federation against the Ukrainian state and calls on the international community for a forceful response. The Ministry also calls on the sides to fulfill the obligations undertaken under the Minsk Agreements and desist from aggression against Ukraine,” the statement of the ministry reads.
