Ukraine Expresses Solidarity to Georgia on 9th Anniversary of Georgia-Russia War 2008

The Georgian President’s Press Office reports that a phone conversation took place between President Giorgi Margvelashvili and his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko on Tuesday, during which Poroshenko expressed his support to Georgia in connection to 9th anniversary of Georgia-Russia war in 2008.

The statement of the Press Office reads that President Poroshenko said that Georgia and Ukraine’s joint coordinated battle against injustice and aggression will have a successful ending.

“President Poroshenko added that his emotional attitude towards the Georgian people is further intensified after his visit to Georgia. He believes that the strategic cooperation between Georgia and Ukraine will bring positive outcomes,” the statement reads.


The Georgian President thanked his Ukrainian counterpart for his support, and reiterated the importance of the strategic partnership between the two countries and expressed his support to the Ukrainian people in their fight.
