Mayoral Candidates Vote in Local Elections
“I cast my vote in order for our city to be ecologically clean, with no chaotic construction work and with well regulated, well functioning transport. The city has to be full of life, full of love, history and culture, and I hope together we can create that,” Kakhi Kaladze, Georgian Dream candidate, said to the media after voting.
Zaal Udumashvili, mayoral candidate from the National Movement said he voted for “a successful city, for the city oriented towards people and our children,” adding that the best prevention of election falsification would be voters actively participating and casting their votes.
Elene Khoshtaria, candidate for the post of Tbilisi Mayor from European Georgia opposition party, who also voted earlier today, said she believes we ourselves could create a city that answers the needs of its citizens, and she voted for the vision that would bring that to life.
“I voted for the future, for development, for success, for new, innovative approaches, and I truly believe we’ll see very good results today” Giorgi Vashadze, mayoral candidate from New Georgia opposition party, said after voting.
