US, Dutch and British Ambassadors Visit Polling Stations in Tbilisi

As part of the joint US, US AID, Dutch and British election monitoring mission, Ian Kelly, US Ambassador to Georgia, Jos Douma, Ambassador of Netherlands to Georgia, and Justin Mckenzie Smith, UK ambassador to Georgia, visited a number of polling stations in Tbilisi today.

“We’re very happy to be here today, it’s an important day for everyone. Our countries support the democratic election process in Georgia,” Justin Mckenzie Smith, UK Ambassador said, after monitoring the N18 election district in Krtsanisi, Tbilisi, the Georgian Public Broadcaster reports. The Ambassadors were informed on the ongoing election process from the election commission chair, at the polling station located in public school N127. 

The US, Dutch and British election monitoring mission has 15 monitoring groups across the country during the local elections of October 21.
