President of Georgia Reacts to the Self-Governing Elections

Giorgi Margvelashvili, President of Georgia, has reacted to the local self-governing elections held, congratulating the newly elected Mayors in the cities, the majoritarian candidates that won, and the political parties.

While The President of Georgia wished them success, he pointed out that the support they have gained from Georgian citizens has to be directed towards solving the problems of the people

The President of Georgia also noted that the elimination and consideration of the shortcomings discovered during the elections is crucial for the development of Georgian democracy.          

“I would like to thank the international and local monitoring missions for the high interest and qualified monitoring during the elections. I hope the second round will also run in a calm manner, and the voter turnout will be high”.  Giorgi Margvelashvili’s statement reads.
