Georgian Wine Presented at Events in New York and Los Angeles

This week, wines from Georgia were showcased at 5 international events in the American cities of New York and Los Angeles.

RAW NY and RAW LA are independent wine exhibitions that take place annually. Only the best wines from around the world are presented at these events. They showcase “wines with emotion. Wines that have a humanlike, or living, presence.”

Tamta Kvelaidze, of the Georgian National Wine Agency, said that The United States’ interest in Georgian wine is growing, and that this is evident in Georgia’s wine export statistics.

So far in 2017, Georgia has seen 68% more wine being exported to the US than last year; approximately 395,000 bottles have been sent to date.

The US is ninth place in the top-50 countries that import Georgian wine, and the Georgian National Wine Agency plans to keep marketing activities active next year as well.
