Prime Ministers of Georgia and UK Meet in Brussels

Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, met Theresa May, his British Counterpart, within the framework of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) 5th Summit in Brussels, November 24.

As Georgian Public Broacaster (GPB) reports, Prime Minister of Georgia and UK have noted the high level political dialogue between the two countries and the active economic relations, pointing the potential for expanding potential economic partnership.

The Wardrop Strategic Dialogue 4th plenary session held in London in October this year, have also been pointed out as a poitive in further strengthening political, economic and people’s diplomacy between the two countries.  During his meeting with UK’s Prime Minister, Georgia’s PM Kvirikashvili, talked about the importance of cooperation with UK, in the process of Georgia’s NATO and Euro-Atlantic integration.

Kvirikashvili also spoke about the ongoing reforms in Georgia, and thanked Prime Minister Theresa May for supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty and for supporting Georgia’s in European and Euro –Atlantic integration.

Prime Minister Theresa May, on her part, expressed her condolences regarding the death of the counter-terrorist unit officer during the special operation held in Tbilisi two days ago.
