Georgian PM Sums Up Eastern Partnership Summit Results
The Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels, Belgium, has come to an end. “The Easten Partnership Summit has ended, with everyone noting how we have managed to realize a very ambitious reform plan, and at the same time consolidate democracy,” Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated, while commenting to the media.
“This is a great achievement for our country, for which there was a full concensus. It is very important that this format appeared to be an instrumental role for Georgia, that enabled us to make the steps that we have made up until today; such as an association agreement signing, trade agreement and visa liberalisation,” Prime Minister of Georgia stated, further noting that the Georgian government’s ambitious reform plan is to continue “bringing us a possibility to move even futrther towards Europe.”
“We have full readiness from our partners to support Georgia in this process, as Georgia has acheived great success. When a window of opportunity opens to Georgia, our country needs to be ready, this is our task and we’re fulfiling it” Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.
As Kvirikashvili pointed out, the declaration of the summit notes the support towards the European aspirations and towards the Euro-Atlantic integration process, adding it is extremely important.
“There’s a full consensus about the success Georgia achieved so far, and it is of course a crucial result, but we shouldn’t stop, we have to continue,” Kvirikashvili said.
