PM on Meeting with the President of the International Olympic Committee

“We had a very interesting meeting with the President of the International Olympic Committee, Mr. Thomas Bach, where we discussed perspectives of the winter sports and mountain tourism development in Georgia. The decision was made that the International Olympic Committee will be sending a group of experts that will evaluate the existing situation, and we’ll be disusing future strategies with them”. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia said after meeting with the International Olympic Committee, held yesterday, in Lausanne, Switzerland. 

“Our ultimate goal is to host Winter Olympic Games in Georgia, and we need a strategy and a plan for that, on which the group of experts to arrive in Georgia will be working on. We think that it’s grounds for a very interesting beginning, and we hope that together with the experts, we will make an ambitious plan and we’ll have a yearly action plan drafted.” Giorgi Kvirikashvili noted. 

Together with the President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach, Giorgi Kvirikashvili visited the Olympic Museum.
