PeaceVR - 1st Regional Virtuality Reality Art Exhibition in South Caucasus

Yesterday, on January 25, the first regional Virtual Reality (VR) art exhibition in the South Caucasus was hosted by Fabrika
Organized within the the framework of the PeaceVR project implemented by Elva, the exhibition allowed visitors to experience compelling virtual reality videos created by young Georgian, Abkhazian, and Armenian artists. The videos explored the people and landscapes affected by the various regional conflicts. Attendees were given special VR headsets that ensured a surreal and unique experience.
The PeaceVR project aims to use VR technology for fostering interaction and confidence building amongst inhabitants of the South Caucasus region. The initiative allowed 12 young artists, with the support of international mentors, to learn about the various techniques of VR filming, culminating  in the joint production of 12 videos.
Elva is an organziation that builds innovative web and mobile solutions to support people and organizations in post-conflict environments in over 15 countries. Furthermore, they provide interactive programs that aim to support trust-building between youth groups across conflict divides.
