If you Like Tango Go Argentinean in Tbilisi
On the 12th of August, two tango dance companies in Georgia, the Tango House and the Argentine Tango Tbilisi, will jointly hold an Argentine Tango Night at Kakha Bakuradze’s Movement Theatre.
From 9pm, there will be a half-hour Argentine Tango class for beginners. Participants will be given classes on the basics of the dance. All interested are also welcome to continue with the Milogna dance, which will last until midnight.
Event tickets are to be sold at the entrance of the building for 5GEL (around $2.) The Movement Theatre is located on Agmashenebeli Avenue, 182.
The organizers have said this master-class is a part of a whole program they plan to have this year. In Autumn they will hold different events, such as exhibitions and cultural evenings, all related to the Tango.
Tango is a couples’ dance that originated in the 1890s along the River Plate, the border between Argentina and Uruguay. The dance spread and today there are many forms of tango, with numerous followers and lovers all over the world.
