European Union and Georgia Association Council Meeting to be held in Brussels

The European Union and Georgia Association Council Meeting is to be held in Brussels, Belgium today, with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, to participate in the 4th Association Council meeting, discussing the progress achieved in the process of the Association Agreement and the Free and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) implementation. The meeting will also focus on the EU-Georgia Association Agreement agenda and the priorities by 2020. 

After the plenary session, Prime Minister Kvirikashvili will be meeting Federica Mpgherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission in the Juncker Commission, with a joint press-conference to follow. 

While on his visit to Brussels, the PM will also meet with European Commissioner for trade Cecilia Malmström. Led by the Prime Minister, the Georgian delegation members will hold bilateral ministerial meetings.
