Fire in Tbilisi's Vake District

On Monday evening, a fire broke out in Tbilisi’s Vake district.

The inhabitants were all evacuated safely, with no casualties.

Six Fire Fighting brigades were dispatched quickly and fought the blaze throughout the night. The fire engulfed around 70 square meters of the building.

Jaba Jishkariani, a member of Tbilisi City Hall, made a statement saying that those affected will be provided with temporary housing.

The cause of the inferno is, as of yet, unknown, but a full investigation has been launched.
