Georgian President Congratulates Lithuania on 100th Anniversary of Independence

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili has paid an official visit to Vilnius to take part in celebrations dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of Lithuania’s Independence.

On February 16 Georgian President attended the official reception held on behalf of President Dalia GrybauskaitÄ— at the Presidential Palace in Vilnius.

President Margvelashvili has made a note in the guestbook and discussed prospective participation of the European leaders in celebrations to be held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Georgia's independence.


Events marking the 100th anniversary of Lithuania’s independence are attended by many foreign officials including the presidents of Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Finland, Iceland, Ukraine, as well as Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden.

President Margvelashvili will hold bilateral meetings with heads of states and discuss the 100th anniversary of Georgia's independence, to be celebrated on May 26.
