Georgian Wine Presented in Japan

The distinct taste of 8000 year-old Georgian wine made it halfway around the world last week, when 35 local wine-makers showcased the products of their talent in the Japanese cities of Tokyo and Osaka.

Around 750 industry professionals, distributors and importers attended the events. Over 100 wines were presented and sampled, said the Georgian National Wine Agency.

In the same week, Georgian wine received a number of awards at the 20th Japan Wine Challenge; the oldest and most prestigious wine competition in the region.
