Foreign Minister: Georgia Fully Supports UK
Georgia’s Vice-Premier and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mikheil Janelidze, took Twitter to express Georgia’s support to the United Kingdom, the Prime Minister of which, Theresa May, has stated that they are cutting their diplomatic relationship with Russia.
The PM addressed MPs on Wednesday after her deadline for Russia to give a "credible" explanation for the attack of former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter - Yulia, who were poisoned by a Russian-manufactured nerve agent.
“Georgia stands by the British people and the Government,” Janelidze stated strongly condemning the nerve agent attack in Salisbury.
Strongly condemn the nerve agent attack in #Salisbury. #Georgia stands by the British people and the Government. Fully support our strategic partner UK in its quest for truth. @BorisJohnson
