Putin Secures Over 90% Of The Vote In Occupied Abkhazia And South Ossetia

Vladimir Putin has won a reported 90+% of the vote in the Russian Presidential elections in de-facto Abkhazia and South Ossetia, according to local media reports. 

The number of votes cast in Putin's favour in Abkhazia was 39,427, or 94.21% of the total number of votes cast in the region (41,849). In the Tskhinvali Region/South Ossetia, he won about 17,500 votes, or 92.8% of the vote. 


A total of thirty-three polling stations were opened across the two occupied regions for Russian troops stationed in the region as well as local residents with Russian citizenship.
