Occupants Kidnap 2 Georgians in Breakaway S.Ossetia

Two Georgian men, 40-year-old Ioseb Gundishvili and 30-year-old David Gerkeuli were detained and "kidnapped" from the "borderline" village of Adzvi, Gori municipality, today by occupant forces of Georgia’s breakaway South Ossetia (Tskhinvali region).

According to locals, the men were taken from the Saint George Church located on Georgia-controlled territory.

Georgian media reports the men have been accused of “illegal border crossing.”

Georgia’s State security Service (SSS) confirmed the detention of the two men. They stated the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) has been informed about the incident.
