NATO Launches Large-scale Air Training

NATO has started the biggest air training exercise since the Cold War, The Telegraph reports.

According to the report, the maneuvers will continue until the 13th September and involve 5,000 soldiers

from 11 countries, including Britain, the USA, Germany and France.

The venues chosen for conducting the training which is aimed at assessing the readiness of air forces are in Italy, Romania and Germany.

The Alliance has carried out a number of drills in Europe and eastern European territories this year whilst Russia has been conducting military exercises in parallel. The military maneuvers are happening as a reaction to Russian military activities against Ukraine.
