Tbilisi Mayor Pays Visit to Jerusalem

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze is on an official visit to Jerusalem, where he met with Mayor Nir Barkat.

The meeting was focused on the positive dynamics of bilateral cooperation, 25-years of diplomatic relations and the importance of sharing experience in various fields.

Nir Barkat thanked Kaladze for his visit and noted that this step would advance cooperation between Tbilisi and Jerusalem.

Discussions also focused on various issues, including cooperation in the tourism sector. Special attention was paid to the potential of economic and business relations. The sides expressed their desire to hold a joint business forum in Tbilisi in the near future.

Kaladze thanked the Mayor of Jerusalem for his hospitality and emphasized the importance of sharing the experience of the Jerusalem municipality in terms of developing new technologies and municipal services.

"In terms of municipal services, Jerusalem is one of the most developed cities and we want to bring their experience to Tbilisi. We also agreed that we will hold a business forum in Tbilisi in June, where Jewish businessmen and local business representatives will be invited to talk about the possibilities of attracting investments,” said the Tbilisi Mayor.
