Qatari Journalists Visit Georgia
Eight journalists from Qatar have visited Georgia to explore its tourist potential.
Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA) of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development organized the visit.
The press participants visited Borjomi, Akhaltsikhe, Vardzia, Kutaisi, Tskhaltubo, Kazbegi, Gudauri and Mtskheta.
During the tour in Tbilisi, the journalists were hosted by the head of the GNTA, Giorgi Chogovadze and the Ambassador of Qatar to Georgia, Mubarak Bin Nasser Bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa.
GNTA reports that Georgia has become increasingly popular among Qatari travelers, which directly promotes air traffic between Tbilisi and the capital of Qatar, Doha. Qatar Airways operates two flights daily in Tbilisi. According to GNTA, more flights will be added in summer.
