Cyber Olympiad CyberCube 2018 to Open
The third national Cyber Olympiad CyberCube 2018 is to open in Tbilisi on May 7 at the Radisson Blu Iveria.
CyberCube 2018 is organized by the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT.GOV.GE) of the Data Exchange Agency (DEA) under the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, in cooperation with the Cyber Security Bureau of the Ministry of Defence of Georgia and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
CyberCube 2018 is supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and UK aid from the UK Government, and by a range of business partners and sponsors, including UGT, Huawei, GreenNet, ISSP, Orient Logic and GRENA.
Giorgi Pataridze, Deputy Minister of Justice; Nikoloz Gagnidze, Chairperson of the Data Exchange Agency; and Munkhtuya Altangerel, Deputy Head of UNDP in Georgia, will address the participants of the Olympiad at the opening session.
CyberCube 2018 is the third Cyber Olympiad organized in Georgia since 2016. Its participants are youth under 25 who compete to fulfil a variety of tasks related to preventing cyber crisis situations and recovering from cyber security incidents caused by hard drive failures or attacks by adversaries. This year, CyberCube lists up to 150 participants from all over Georgia.
