Finnish, Slovak Presidents to Join 100th Anniversary Celebrations

The President of Finland, Sauli Niinisto, will visit Georgia on May 26 to mark the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Georgia with the Georgian people.

“The President of Finland has called the visit historic as it will be the first visit of a Finnish leader to Georgian in 26 years,” the Administration of the President of Georgia announced today.

The same administration announced yesterday that the Slovak President, Andrej Kiska, will also come to Tbilisi to participate in the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Republic of Georgia.

The president’s press office stated that Margvelashvili and Kiska had a phone conversation and discussed the visit details.
