Tbilisi Comics and Games Festival

The worlds of gaming and comic books have exploded in the last few years, becoming ever more popular and making the culture of the geek very profitable.

Tournaments where the best of the best gamers compete have become a norm for society, these tournaments often having prize pools over a million dollars. A few years back, when someone told you that you might be able to make money just by playing games, you wouldn’t have believed them, but now, it’s quite true.

Following the gaming community, comic books have also started to boom: with the new Marvel films, the world of “super-heroes” have become so popular that people go to conventions where they can enjoy each other’s company in a hotpot of art, stories, fantasy games and “cosplay” competitions. It was only a matter of time before this culture came to Georgia.

The first Tbilisi Comics and Games festival will take place on June 9 at the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia.

Prepare to treat yourself to comic books and Manga, artists, writers, costumes, contests and presentations.
