UNICEF Launches Campaign on Influencing Social Norms on Violence against Children
On June 1, UNICEF will be launching a Social Change Communication Campaign on Influencing Social Norms on Violence against Children.
The campaign aims at forming a shared understanding of what violence is and initiating a dialogue in communities to reach mutual understanding, agreement and take collective actions.
The event will take place on June 1, from 13:00 to 14:00, at the S. Janashia Museum of Georgia, 3, Rustaveli Avenue, Tbilisi.
The event will be attended by: Laila O. Gad, UNICEF Representative in Georgia; János Herman, Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia; Niels Scott, UN Resident Coordinator in Georgia; Mikheil Chkhenkeli, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia; Eka Beselia, Chair of the Legal Issues Committee of Parliament, Global Partnership to End Violence against Children; Natalia Jaliashvili, Head of the Human Rights Secretariat of the Governmental Administration, Global Partnership to End Violence against Children; and Nino Lomjaria, Public Defender of Georgia.
