Former Kirovi Factory in Tbilisi Burns Down

A former Kirovi factory in Tbilisi has burned down because of a fire started at Eristavi Street in Didube district devastating many storerooms in the blaze.

Reports say the fire engulfed roughly 4000 square meters of territory with the source of the blaze unknown. 120 firefighters were working at the scene to prevent further damage. There have been no injuries reported.

The emergency services state that a part of the old factory (built in the Soviet era) needs to be removed as after the blaze it could simply collapse.
