Minsk to Receive 800 mln Yuan of Aid from PRC t No Charge

Minsk is to receive 800 million Yuan of aid from the People's Republic of China at no charge

The Ministry of Economy of Belarus signed an intergovernmental agreement with the People's Republic of China.

According to the agreement, Beijing will provide free support to Minsk in the form of 800 million Yuan for the construction and development of infrastructure in Belarus.

The decision was made at a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, where the Minister of Economy of Belarus, Vladimir Zinovsky, took part.

In addition, at the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Summit, Belarus and China signed several documents on cooperation. Most of these are focused on joint implementation of projects in the construction sector. China plans to help Belarus build housing, parks, a science center and other facilities that will raise the infrastructure of the Republic to a new level.

During the summit, an agreement was signed on assigning a credit rating to Belarus.
