European Commission to Give Republic of Moldova EUR12 million

The European Commission has said it will provide the Republic of Moldova EUR 12 million to consolidate its potential for economic growth.

The draft agreement has been submitted by the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure for Public Consultation.

In addition to EUR 12 million from the European Commission (through the European Neighborhood Instrument), a co-financing of EUR 250,000 is to be provided for in the Annual Action Program 2017 of the European Union (AAP 2017 - Annual Action Programming).

Investments will be carried out in the field of economic development and market opportunities, institution building and good governance, energy efficiency, environment and climate change.

The term of the Agreement is 84 months from the date of its entry into force.
