21 People Drowned in Georgia in 2 Months
From May 1 to June 25, 21 people drowned in the sea and rivers in Georgia.
The information was released by the Emergency Service, which says that the rescuers saved 36 people from drowning in the same period.
The Emergency Service warns citizens to be careful and obey the rescuers’ recommendations.
In Adjara, Georgia’s Black Sea region, the number of tourists there is increasing by the day.
The safety of tourists and visitors there is ensured by 200 rescuers, who complain that people do not take into account their instructions and recommendations.
On June 26 alone, beach rescuers saved the lives of 18 people, while 24 were saved only this month.
The rescuers say that the visitors and tourists often go into the sea drunk.
They also ask visitors not to cross the marked line into the sea, saying it is not safe to swim far from the beach.
