Number of Holiday Seekers Visiting Georgia Grows

The Head of the Georgia's National Tourism Administration Giorgi Chogovadze has announced that the number of the visitorswho are coming in Georgia has been increased.

The date published by the Turism Administration has revealed that 852, 377 tourists visited Georgia in August, which is 10 percent higher to compared the number of the same period of the last year.

According to the date 383, 619 people used Georgia as a transit country in the last month.

The percentage of tourists who left Georgia within 24 hours has increased by 2.4%.

According to the statistic most guests who have been visiting Georgia were from Turkey, an increase of 10% compared to last year.

The number of the guests from Azerbaijan also increased by 7.5% and from Armenia by 24.7%.

Tourists from Russia who spent their holidays in Georgia also increased by 23% and from Ukrain by 5.6%.

Visitors from the European Union have been increased as well with Lithuania (21% increase), Czech Republic (20% increase), Latvia (14% increase), Germany (12% increase), Italy (10% increase) and the Netherlands (10% increase) all coming to Georgia more often.

Visitors from the United Arab Emirates have increased by 76% and from Saudi Arabia by 75% as well.

Visitors from the US increased by 10%. There was 36 percent of increase of visitors from Kazakhstan as well.
