MIA Cooperates with Geneva Center for Democratic Control of Armed Forces
Within the framework of a series of reforms being carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the General Inspection Department is undergoing structural and quality reforms in order to form a more efficient and transparent structure with high public trust.
One direction of the ongoing reforms in the General Inspection Department is to study international best practices and to increase professional development opportunities for employees.
Yesterday, a seminar was conducted for General Inspection Department employees with the support of the Civil Council on Defense and Security issues. International practice, current reality, and new challenges were discussed. At the end of the meeting, the sides laid out plans for future cooperation.
The seminar marked the beginning of a plan for long term cooperation between the General Inspection Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Geneva Center for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces.
The Geneva Center for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces is an intergovernmental foundation-based think tank that provides research and project support to states and international actors in improving security sector governance and reform.
