Premeditated Murder On Jikia Street

The Ministry of Internal Affairs is conducting an investigation into the discovery of a body in Tbilisi which appears to have been deliberately murdered.

The body of a 40-year-old man was found in the courtyard of a building on Jikia Street, near the Kakheti Highway of Tbilisi. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning, on-site expert forensics said.

The man had a head wound, however, neighbors say they did not hear anything. According to reports, the man was attacked with a blunt object. The courtyard where the body was found is the office of a computer service company where the man was employed.

The investigation is being conducted under the pretense of premeditated murder, which is punishable by imprisonment for a term of 7 to 15 years.
