EU supports Moldovan Women Empowerment Through Business

Throughout a year and a half, more than 300 women from the Republic of Moldova have received training courses to improve the way they run their businesses.

Supported by the European Union, through the Business Academy for Women, 30 business mentors were trained and are now ready to assist women entrepreneurs. In addition, the EU has also given financial aid amounting to €6,200 ($7,200) per project to 10 businesses run by women.

The Head of Cooperation at the EU Delegation to the Republic of Moldova, Aneil Singh, noted the positive effects of the Academy, especially in rural areas, supporting women empowerment.
